On 22^nd July 2016, John Sergeant visited the Swizzels factory as part of his canal-travels for the programme Barging Around Britain. He helped out with the manufacture of some of Swizzels’ most well-known sweets and, in his usual bumbling and jolly manner, went on to describe the historic mills which fringe the Peak Forest Canal. Barging Around Britain has a prime-time spot on ITV and is enjoyed by millions of viewers around the country, so it was great opportunity for people to see how our sweets are made.
