This photo is of me and my dad Fred. He recently passed away on 04/02/17.He absolutely hated having his photo taken so having rare ones like this from when I got married to my now ex husband are a special treasured memory. He was the beast dad and granddad to my little girl and we loved him very much. This photo brings back many treasured memories.

As a kid, my friends and I thought it would be great fun to stuff as many small sweets into our mouths as possible. Nearly choked many times, and threw up once or twice, but we still did it whenever we could. We thought we were hilarious. I still can't eat skittles!

I loved swizzel sweets when I was a child and still do as an adult but I have fond memories of my sister and I going to the local newsagent to buy my favourite Parma violets and my sister loved love hearts with our saved pocket money - when pocket money got lots of sweets- and if we had enough money some picnic food which always included a chocolate Swiss roll! Then we would have a lovely picnic in our lounge! Great memories! We still laugh at our regular picnics now!
