When you think of romance, it’s always Valentine’s Day that gets the glory. But at Swizzels, we think that Christmas takes some beating. It’s one of the most popular times of year for wedding proposals – in fact an average 100,000 proposals take place over the festive period… And Swizzels’ Love Hearts will play a significant part in many of them! So, with that in mind, we decided to ask the question – if you could add any new message to the standard pack of Love Hearts, what would it be?

While some of the responses were perfectly lovely and exactly what we’d expected:♥️U; Marry me; Cutie pie; and Marry me again (awwww!).

And others were innocent and pure: You are special; love u mum; Mummykins; You’re Amazing;  Special granddaughter; and Be Kind – something that we could all pay a little bit more attention to.

Some were simply downright crackers!

We could all do with a bit of a laugh at the moment, so these are our top ten favourites for you to enjoy too!

1.  “HOT CHICKEN” (because he really looks like a chicken.) Are we the only ones who now want to see this person’s boyfriend?
2. I have ideas… Yes, we are quite sure that you do!
3. You’re my lobster. OK, so this one is kind of sweet in a bonkers kind of way, but here’s some shock news – ‘Friends’ got it wrong! In 2019, marine biologists confirmed that lobsters are far from monogamous. Shhh, don’t tell Ross and Rachel!

So, there you have it, just a small insight into the minds of Swizzels customers! We have to say, number 10 is a real corker!

But among the madness, we did find one really lovely message that shone through all the rest. And it simply read, ‘Marry Me Suzanne!!’ So, whoever you are, here’s hoping that you’re already celebrating your engagement to your Suzanne.
