If you’re a new couple, don’t go overboard

There’s no magic length of time when it comes to expressing your feelings to that new person in your life. However, writing your undying love to someone you’ve only just met might scare them off a little bit. If you’re both in agreement that your first date was a ‘love at first sight’ situation then go for it but if things are still in their early stages you might want to rethink your instincts. Our advice is to keep it short and sweet – let them know that you’re glad you met but don’t wax too lyrical about it. Example lines could be:

Do you love your other half but can’t find the words to truly express it? Believe it or not, you can be just as authentic and romantic with a quote – just make sure it resonates with the two of you. Maybe it’s a line from a book, film or song you both love. Perhaps it’s something you said to each other in your dating days. Or maybe (and this is probably the easiest route) a simple look on Google will deliver the quote that perfectly sums up your love story.
