This may seem small but to me it was overwhelming. I work in a primary school and Joanne was in the year above (her final year). Her mum gave her and her sisters a Beatrix Potter coin each. Joanne asked her mum if she was allowed to do whatever she wanted with it. Knowing from the previous year that I collected fifty CRS told her mum she wanted to give it away. I arrived home after a difficult day to find a note on the door. It simply had a smiley face and the words, I know you’ll like this, look inside, love Jo. Inside was her fifty pence. Such a beautiful gesture from one so young.
