Ruby has a blood disorder called hereditary spherocytosis, she’s only 5 years old, her red blood cells are shaped diffrently from a normal persons meaning her spleen rejects them, her first transfusion was when she was 8 weeks old she’s had 4 since then, she’s constantly jaundiced due to the breakdown of her red blood cells, i tell her she’s special as she can change colour! She’s been in and out of hospital so many times and she has never moaned, each time she goes in she has to have blood tests she’s so used to this she just takes it in her stride now, she also had to have her gallbladder removed due to the disorder, she’s the bravest girl I know ❤
